Kordegarda. Gallery of the National Centre for Culture is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the accessibility of digital websites and mobile applications of public entities.   • Multimedia elements (audio, video) have been partially adapted for accessibility. Audiodescriptions have been uploaded for exhibits attached to physical gallery exhibits, and for the “Auditions” section, where possible, transcripts were provided. Curatorial texts are also available in MP3 and audio format. We are working to improve this feature to better meet the needs of our users.
  • Multimedia video elements have been made accessible by providing subtitles.

Content Translations

The website is available in two languages – Polish and English.

All permanent website elements have been translated, including:

  • the navigation menu,
  • headers and footer,
  • names of tabs and subpages.

The translations have been prepared in compliance with accessibility requirements, ensuring their proper functioning in browsers and screen readers.

Downloadable Files Accessibility

Materials available for download, such as regulations or informational materials, are prepared in formats compliant with WCAG.

Architectural Accessibility of Kordegarda. Gallery of the National Centre for Culture, Krakowskie Przedmieście 15/17, Warsaw

The building has one main entrance from Krakowskie Przedmieście street, located at ground level. For people with mobility impairments, there is a bell at the entrance to request assistance, which will be provided by the staff to help enter the building.

Two parking spaces for people with disabilities are located 60 meters away across the street from Krakowskie Przedmieście, near the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Gallery allows entry with an assistance dog and guide dog.

At the Gallery, there is an option to listen to audio descriptions of selected exhibits.

The Gallery does not have a public restroom for visitors.

The Gallery lacks Braille signage and high-contrast or enlarged print signage for blind and visually impaired visitors.

The Gallery does not have an induction loop system.
