The Warsaw Ghetto Museum and the National Centre for Culture invite you to Kordegarda. Gallery of the National Centre for Culture for a new temporary exhibition.

The central point of the exhibition is the valuables donated by Jews. It begins with the years of World War I and the stories of Jewish legionnaires, defenders of Lviv and participants in the Polish-Bolshevik war, because their involvement in collections and subscriptions was one of many examples of Jewish participation in the work of regaining, maintaining and defending independence. The exhibition presents the situation of the Jewish population in the interwar period, the contribution of Jews to Polish culture, literature and art, as well as the problems they had to face in the second half of the thirties, marked by xenophobia and anti-Semitic rhetoric. Despite this, Poland was also their homeland, and many paid the highest price for their Polish patriotism.
