The National Center for Culture and the Museum of Literature cordially invite you to an exhibition devoted to an artist with an extraordinary biography: Janusz Krasiński – prose writer, playwright, reporter, author of radio dramas and theater adaptations, president of the Polish Writers' Association, who has been awarded many times for his creative work. The exhibition presented in Kordegarda and next to the gallery (open-air part) will be open for a month – until November 13.The National Cultural Center commemorates important events and figures in Polish history, especially creators and artists. In Kordegarda we present the profile and achievements of Janusz Krasiński, a writer and a participant in the Warsaw Uprising, a prisoner of German concentration camps and the communist security apparatus. Through his life and literary work, he testified to two totalitarian systems that enslaved Poland and Poles: the Bolshevik communion and German fascism. As he said, he lived for the purpose of writing the truth. Despite personal, traumatic experiences, he kept faith in people, and he taught his readers that faith. He argued that good is indestructible.Duration: October 13 – November 13, 2022Opening: October 13, 2022 at 18.00Curator, concept and script: Maria Dorota Pieńkowska, Museum of LiteratureConsultation: Barbara KrasińskaArt project of the exhibition at Kordegarda: Anna Nowak-KacprzakArt project of the board exhibition: Anna Maria BauerCoordination: Anna Lebensztejn, Izabela Zychowicz, Museum of Literature, Katarzyna Haber, National Center for CultureOrganizers: Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, National Center for Culture, Museum of Literature, Kordegarda.
